New Delhi: Superstar Manikandan and Sri Gauri Priya’s latest Tamil hit Lover witnessed a remarkable run at the Box Office. Released on 9-11 Feb (Tamil and Telugu) during Valentine’s week, the film received an overwhelmingly positive response from moviegoers who lauded the romantic comedy for beautifully depicting the hard-hitting reality of Today’s romantic relationships.

Days after the conclusion of Lover’s successful journey on the big screen, its lead actor Manikandan, on Tuesday, finally unveiled the film’s official digital debut date. taking to his official Instagram handle, the year-old actor shared a reel and revealed that Lover will arrive on Disney + Hotstar on March 27, 2024.
Soon after, the digital streaming platform also announced the news of Lover’s digital debut through another Instagram post. In the post, Disney +Hotstar dropped an intriguing date reveal poster of the film & wrote, “Love is Battle, Love is War, Love is Growing up! LOVER’ Arrives on March 27 on DisneyplusHotstar.”

Lover Movie’s Story and Cast
Reflecting upon several good and bad aspects of Modern relationships, Lover, written and directed by Prabhuram Vyas, follows the story of a young couple Arun (Manikandan) and Divya (Sri Gouri Priya) whose 6-year-old bond comes on the verge of breaking because of the former’s extremely obsessive and toxic behavior with the latter. The film shows the rising differences between the duo and how they cope with the same for the sake of their love and feelings for one another.
Besides the lead pair of Manikandan and Sri Gouri Priya, Lover’s Steller case sees actors like Saravanan Geetha Kailasam, Kanna Ravin, and Harish Kumar in pivotal roles. It is bankrolled by MRP Entertainment and Dollar Studios and was released in theaters on 9 February 2024.
