Lovers Anonymous OTT: The upcoming Turkish Drama will arrive on Netflix on 16th Jan 2025.
Basar Basaran, Selin Cuhadaroglu, Halit Ergenç, and Funda Eryigit created the TV drama series.
Plot
A wound that manifested in his childhood has scarred Cem. His concept of love has been heavily damaged and ruined. Cem runs a ‘Love Hospital’ from such twisted thinking about love. There, he seeks to treat patients of the ‘love disease’ as he calls it.
Cem sees the emotion of love as not a warm feeling but a disease that should be chased away from a human’s mind and body. His life is minuscule until he runs into Hazal. Hazal firmly believes in the concept of love, soulmates, and ‘fated ones’. She is the opposite of Cem when it comes to the concept of love and it’s praise.
Despite their polar opposite thinking Hazal wants Cem to believe in love again. She wants to ward off his twisted thinking and make him realize the beauty in the emotion of love. Hazal believes that love is an entity that will save the world from its impending doom.
On the other hand, Cem believes love is a plague and a hindrance and aims to eradicate it from the world. Her appearance in Cem’s life hampers the roots of his success and dreams. Cem’s life is completely flipped around by Hazal’s presence.
The two have an odd dynamic that contrasts with every force of nature. Hazal is a hopeless romantic while Cem is disgusted and appalled by even the notion of love. Their bond is as unique and entertaining as it gets.
