Madu OTT Release Date: Viral Nigerian ballet dancer’s hard-hitting inspirational movie is streaming on This OTT platform 

Madu tells the motivating tale of 12-year-old Antony Madu who bids farewell to his high tightly-knit community in Lagoes and sets off on a challenging journey to follow his dreams at a prestigious ballet school in England.

New Delhi: Oscar award nominee Matthew Ogens and ace Nigerian director Joel Kachi Benson’s documentary film Madu throws light on the inspiring journey of the young Nigerian child Anthony Madu whose video of doing ballet dance in the rain spread like wildfire on social media back in 2020.

Anthony’s clips went so viral that besides common masses, it was also lauded and shared by many prominent figures from the entertainment industry, including renowned American actress and movie producer who appreciated the talented boy by reposting his video from her official social media account.

Now, an entire film, based on Madu’s rise to glory from the dust is arriving on digital screens this summer & fans are eagerly waiting for the same.

Madu OTT Release Date

Featuring Madu playing his character by himself, the hard-hitting documentary movie will stream on Disney + Hotstar from March 29, 2024. However, to watch the film from the comfort of their homes, viewers must have a subscription to the digital platform’s services.

Earlier on March 1st, Disney Plus also unveiled the promising trailer for Madu which received a decent response from the public & garnered over 37 K views on YouTube alone.

Plot

Madu tells the motivating tale of 12-year-old Antony Madu who bids farewell to his high tightly-knit community in Lagoes and sets off on a challenging journey to follow his dreams at a prestigious ballet school in England.

Now, he must do whatever it takes to become an ace ballet dancer and achieve all the goals to make his family and well-wishers proud. If he fails to do so, it will be the end of the line of his dreams.

Production

Jamie Patricof, Katie McNeill, and Rachel Halilej have produced Madu while Charlie Goodger is the man behind the film’s cinematography. Hunting Lane Films has bankrolled the film with Disney + in charge of its distribution.
