Mahabharat’s Sakuni Mama Gufi Paintal hospitalised, brother asks fans to pray

The actor made his Bollywood debut with the 1975 film Rafoo Chakkar co-starring Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Asrani, and others.

New Delhi: Veteran actor Gulfi Psintal from Mahabharat has been hospitalized due to heart and kidney-related problems. His actor-comedian brother Paintal has requested his fans to pray for him. Gufi played the role of  Shakuni Mama in BR Chopra’s Mahabharat and got huge fame for his role. The actor was moved to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai’s Andheri West when his condition got worse. The actor made his Bollywood debut with the 1975 film Rafoo Chakkar co-starring Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Asrani, and others. Fans became excited when BR Chopra’s Mahabharat was rereleased on Star Plus during the lockdown. Gufi’s portrayal as an antagonist was much loved by the viewers. His evil character in Mahabharat was admired by the people.

In an interaction with a news portal, Gufi’s brother told about his health condition and said he is in a very critical condition and told about his kidney and heart problems. The news of his bad health went viral after actress Tina Ghai shared a post on her Instagram handle to pray for him.

The actor has worked in various shows like Bahadur Shah Zafar, om Namah Shivay, Kanoon, CID, Ssshhh…koi Hai, Dwarkadheesh Bhagwaan Shree Krishn, Radha Krishna, and Jay Kanhaiya Lal Ki. He was also featured in the films like Dillagi, Desh Pradesh, and Suhaag. The actor also shared his excitement when he got to know, Maharabhart is going to re-telecast on TV. He said the game of politics and power is always there, and the Mahabharat is the depiction of that only. He further said, reliving something that is very c; close to your heart gives you a different kick.
