New Delhi: Producer Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films have announced a new thriller, Pooja Meri Jaan. The production house posted a video on their YouTube channel to announce the film. The team has already wrapped up the film’s shoot.
The film features Huma Qureshi, Mrunal Thakur, Vikram Singh Chauhan and Vijay Raaz in pivotal roles. Along with Vijan, Amar Kaushik is also a part of the project as a producer. The film is directed by Navjot Gulati, who has previously directed ‘Jai Mummy Di’ and ‘Happily Ever After’. The thriller revolves around a girl named Pooja who is being stalked by an unidentified man.
In the video, an admirer of Pooja can be seen sending her an email, and in that mail, he gives her the choice to either say yes or see him become history. The mail says, “Dear Pooja, agar tum haan bol do toh humara pyaar itihaas ban jayega aur agar tumne naa bola toh main itihaas ban jaunga!” It is followed by a shot of the India Gate and an aerial shot of Delhi.
The film is written by Kanishka and Navjot Gulati. In the movie, Huma Qureshi will be seen playing Sana, while the character of Pooja will be played by Mrunal Thakur. Mrunal shared the announcement video on her Instagram handle and wrote, “A film that is very important and extremely close to my heart, I hope you guys love it as much as we loved making it.” Huma, who celebrates her birthday on July 28, wrote that her birthday week got better, she also added that it is an important film and she is excited.
