New Delhi: Megastar Mohanlal’s latest Malayalam actioner Malaikottai Vaaliban turned out to be a sorry affair at the Box Office. Despite generating a massive buzz amongst the fans, the film failed to meet the makers’ expectations and ended its theatrical run with a mediocre total of Rs 30 crores.
Meanwhile, the commercial failure of the Sonalee Kulkarni starrer has reportedly also prompted the makers to prepone the flick’s OTT release date & here’s all you need to know about the same.

Makers have officially confirmed that On 23 February 2024, Malaikottani Vaaliban will start streaming on Disney + Hoststar which has already acquired the film’s digital rights for a decent price. Viewers will be required to have a subscription to the platform in order to watch the movie.
Malaikottai Vaaliban tells the tale of an extremely powerful & ruthless warrior whose supremacy prevails over a boundless desert region. Any opponent who foolishly dares to pose a challenge to Vaaliban gets crushed under his wrath & learns a painful lesson. However, things change when a dancer comes into the worrier’s life & introduces him to newer challenges. What happens after that is the remaining part of the movie.

Malaikottai Vaaliban is helmed by ace director Lijo Jose Pellissery and produced jointly by Shibu Baby John, Achu Baby John, Vikram Mehra, Siddharth Anand Kumar, M. C. Philip and Jacob K. Babu.
Besides Mohanlal playing the lead character, the film’s star-studded cast also features several skilled actors including Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh, and Danish Sait in pivotal roles. It was released on 25 January 2024 under the banners of Maxlab Cinemas, John & Mary Creative Century Films, and Entertainments Saregama Amen Movie Monastery on 25 January 2024.
