Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya released; Marks a good entry on Sankranti

Waltair Veerayya, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Sankranthi entertainer, was made official on January 14th. Remarkably, the film, which lines up with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy, does indeed have a good number of reservations and spots on its 2nd day of the official launch.

New Delhi: The film, an outright fanfest for Chiranjeevi, is said to have reintroduced the vintage megastar to the big screen after several decades.

Waltair Veerayya, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Sankranthi entertainer, was made official on January 14th. Remarkably, the film, which lines up with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy, does indeed have a good number of reservations and spots on its 2nd day of the official launch.

Besides working a bit harder on the narrative and composition, director Bobby Kolli, not only authored the movie but also ended up spending more effort and time on creating a feast for audiences. Nevertheless, due to the Sankranti holiday season, Waltair Veerayya is also up and running.

Meanwhile, Waltair Veerayya became Chiranjeevi’s first million-selling album in the United States. Furthermore, the film’s satellite privileges are believed to be worth Rs 88 crore, with exact details expected soon.

Day 1 box office collection for the movie is Rs 29.6 Crore and Day 2 has Rs 19 Crore reserved until now. This makes it a total of Rs 48.60 Crore as of now.

Waltair Veerayya starrer Massraja Ravi Teja as ACP Vikram Sagar, who is eventually discovered to be Veerayya’s half-brother on a quest to apprehend the drug kingpin in Malaysia. Prakash Raj was excellent as the enemy, and Shruti Haasan dazzled as the female lead co-starring Chiranjeevi.

In contrast, Shakalaka Shankar, Catherine Tresa, Praveen, Sapthagiri,  Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore, and Bobby Simha play important roles in the film.

Niranjan Devaramane edited the film, which was directed by Arthur A Wilson. Devi Sri Prasad composed the complete playlists for the cinema, which Mythri Movie Makers produced on a spend of around Rs 140 Crore.
