Migration OTT Release Date: Let’s get ready to go on a new exciting venture with this adventure animation comedy series

Migration OTT Release Date: After a successful run in theatres in December 2023, the film will finally hit JioCinema screens on May 1, 2024.

New Delhi: On December 22, 2023, the Benjamin Renner–and Illumination–produced film Migration hit theatres in the US. On December 29, 2023, it had its Indian theatrical debut. Except for a handful of criticisms over its lacklustre narrative, this box office smash received mainly favourable reviews from both audiences and reviewers.

The newest animated family comedy from Illumination and Universal, Migration, is almost ready for its online premiere, so get ready for a feathery family adventure. This entertaining story takes place when a duck family from New England learns that their winter flight south isn’t your average migratory path.

Plot

Attempts by the Mallard family to break out of their routine and enjoy life to the fullest are chronicled in Migration. Although Mack enjoys staying in, his family is itching to go.

Except for Mack, of course, a migratory bunch of ducks gets a strong wanderlust from a little rest stop at their house and their journey tales. After some convincing from relatives, Mack, Pam, and their group took out for Jamaica. However, if only it were so simple for similarly naive first-time migrating birds and comparatively fearless people.

Throughout the movie, we see the family’s comical misadventures, from a hasty bathroom break to evading the wicked, muscular Chef.

When and Where to Watch?

Initially, on October 19, 2023, Migration made its debut at the VIEW Conference in Turin, Italy. After a successful run in theatres in December 2023, the film will finally hit JioCinema screens on May 1, 2024.

The full-fledged excitement of migration is in discovering uncharted territory. Filmmaker Benjamin Renner uses anthropomorphic ducks as a metaphor for the universal voyage of overcoming phobias and venturing outside one’s comfort zone.

Cast and Crew

On the vocal front, we have Kumail Nanjiani as the nervous duck dad Mack, Elizabeth Banks as the gregarious duck mom Pam, Casper Jennings as the child Gwen, and Tresi Gazal as Dax. In addition to the Mallards, Keegan Michael Key plays Delroy, a homesick macaw.

Universal Pictures and Illumination collaborated on the production and distribution of Migration. The film was produced by Chris Meledandri and was helmed by Benjamin Renner and Guylo Homsy. It was based on a screenplay by Mike White and a scenario by White and Renner.
