Barbie, a live-action film featuring the beloved fashion doll, was released alongside Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, a serious biographical movie about the inventor of the atomic bomb. While these two films explore very different themes, Barbie takes viewers on a journey of self-discovery as the iconic doll, alongside Ken, navigates an existential crisis. The star-studded cast includes Ryan Gosling, Margot Robbie, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, and Will Ferrell.

In India, the movie has achieved a respectable level of success, earning Rs. 21.15 crore in just four days. Barbie’s global popularity has attracted audiences from all backgrounds, sparking a discussion on whether it surpasses the acclaimed Oppenheimer. Recently, TV actress Juhi Parmar expressed her criticism of Barbie’s creators via Instagram, stating that she found the movie’s inappropriate language and sexual connotations off-putting and left the screening after about 10-15 minutes.
