New Delhi: On August 27th, Mumbai hosted the final showdown for Miss Diva Universe 2023. Miss Diva Universe 2022 Divita Rai crowned the winner, Shweta Sharda, as Miss Diva Universe 2023. She will be India’s representative at the 72nd Miss Universe pageant.

Sonal Kukreja of Delhi won the title of Miss Diva Supranational 2023, while Trisha Shetty of Karnataka placed as runner-up. At the twelfth annual Miss Supranational, India will be represented by Kukreja. At the grand event, the three women were awarded the highest honours.
At the beauty pageant’s final event, Shweta stunned in a shimmering thigh-slit gown by Nikita Mhaisalkar. Tears welled up in the diva’s eyes when Divita Rai bestowed the title upon her.

Designers Nikita Mhaisalkar, Abhishek Sharma and Jatin Kampani, Miss Universe 2021 winner Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, and beauty pageant veterans Srinidhi Shetty, Pratik Gandhi, and Sangeeta Bijlani served as judges for the Miss Diva Universe 2023 final.

Shweta Sharda, a 22-year-old native of Chandigarh, was recently crowned Miss Diva Universe 2023. The young woman, who was raised by a single mother, uprooted her life and moved to Mumbai at the age of 16. When asked who has had the greatest impact on her life, Shweta said her mom. In addition to DID and Dance Deewane, the beauty queen has also been featured on Dance+. On the programme Jhalak Dikhlaja, she worked as a choreographer as well.
Shweta is already a social media phenomenon, with over 4 lakh Instagram followers. She was recently in the Mast Aankhein music video, sung by Zubin Nautiyal and Tulsi Kumar.

Shweta said in an interview that her greatest accomplishment was teaching dance to Bollywood stars like Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Mouni Roy, Salman Khan, and the indestructible diva Madhuri Dixit. She even said that Sushmita Sen, of all the beauty queens, is her idol.
Shweta is also passionate about empowering women via education, equitable access to resources, and the ability to defend themselves.
