New Delhi: Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu shared a video clip from her appearance on Trevor Noah’s ‘The Daily Show’. Harnaaz added a ‘desi’ touch to the American show by teaching Bollywood dance moves to Noah. In the video, they are seen dancing together as Harnaaz becomes his instructor.
Harnaaz, in the video, can be seen telling Noah, “I am gonna teach you four simple steps. Bollywood is all about face, neck, hands and hips. It’s gonna be easy. Trust me.” Noah copies her and does a step with the neck while fails shake his hips to go for the ‘thumkas’. Harnaaz corrects him and says, “More hips…it’s all about hips.”

Sharing the video, the Miss Universe wrote, “It was such a pleasure to share the stage with one and only @trevornoah Thankyou @thedailyshow for having me on your show! @trevornoah remember it’s all in the hips! Bollywood is watching!” She wore a pinkish-red outfit, designed by Wight Elephant Boutique and GUESS.
Noah is known for having an opinion on matters of global concern and shares satirical news related to international and American political matters on his show. He also commented on the farmers’ protests which took place in 2021 in India. Trevor is running the show since 2015, while the show actually dates back to 1996.
Harnaaz Sandhu is the Indian, after Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta, to be crowned the Miss Universe. She is making her acting debut with ‘Bai Ji Kuttange’. Directed by Smeep Kang the film features, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Dev Kharoud and Upasna Singh. The film was released in theatres on August 19.
