Mumbai cruise drugs case: No evidence Aryan was part of conspiracy, finds NCB’s SIT

Aryan Khan was arrested after, NCB team headed by Sameer Wankhede conducted a raid on the Cordelia Cruise yacht where a drug party was reportedly underway on the intervening night of October 2 and 3.

New Delhi: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has reportedly found that there was no evidence against Shah Rukh Khan son Aryan in the drugs conspiracy or international drug trade.

According to the reports published by a leading daily said that according to sources in the NCB, there were also irregularities during the NCB’s raid on the cruise ship Cordelia, during which Aryan and others were arrested.

However, the matter is still being looked after by the SIT.

According to the officer, a legal opinion will be taken before  the final decision, on the aspect to whether Khan can be charged for consumption even though he was not carrying any drugs.

SRK’s son and several others were detained by the team on charges of drug conspiracy and consuming drugs, later he was arrested by the NCB team on October 3.  Aryan Khan’s first bail was dismissed by the trial court. Later, Khan through his counsel, approached Bombay High Court which granted him bail on October 28. He was released from the jail on October 30.

So far 20 people have been arrested, including two Nigerian nationals by the NCB.
