New Delhi: Tamil star Dhanush’s latest release ‘Naane Varuvean’ is set to stream on OTT. After a decent run at the box office, the film will be released on OTT as a post-Diwali gift for Dhanush’s fans. Directed by Dhanush’s brother, filmmaker-writer K. Selvaraghavan, the film got a theatrical release on September 29.
The film is a psychological action thriller and follows Prabhu an average suburban man for whom family means the world to him. His life is turned upside down when the ghost of a little boy possesses his daughter Satya. ‘Naane Varuvean’ is based on the themes of the déjà vu effect between two lookalikes. Dhanush plays a double role where one is a quirky killer while the other is a family man. The film also stars Selvaraghavan, Indhuja Ravichandran, Elli AvrRam, Yogi Babu and Parbhu.
When and where to watch?
The film will stream on Amazon Prime Video from October 27 onwards. The movie will release in Tamil with English subtitles. The OTT platform tweeted and made the announcement regarding the film.

This also marks the sixth collaboration between the actor-director duo, after ‘Thulluvadho Ilamai’, ‘Kadhal Kondein’, ‘7G Rainbow Colony’, ‘Pudhupettai’ and ‘Mayakkam Enna’, and Dhanush and Selvaraghavan are collaborating after 12 years.
The music of the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film has a runtime is 2 hours and 2 minutes and is a treat for Dhanush’s fans as people get to watch not one but Dhanush in action. The actor will also be seen in the bilingual Tamil-Telugu film ‘Sir (Vaathi)’, which will release on December 2.
