New Delhi: On November 22, 2023, theatres welcomed the historical flick, Napoleon. Reviews for the picture, which acclaimed director Ridley Scott helmed, were mixed. Napoleon, which debuted in theatres two months ago, is now streaming online.
The Martian and Blade Runner director Ridley Scott’s newest Oscar contender, Napoleon, is a multi-nominated picture. Three of the film’s categories—Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, and Best Visual Effects—have been nominated for Oscars this year. The producers of the picture are Scott and Joaquin Phoenix, as well as Mark Huffam, Kevin J. Walsh, and Scott Free Productions, respectively.

Plot
Napoleon is based on the life of the famous and tragic figure Napoleon Bonaparte, who rose from humble beginnings to accomplish tremendous things. From his time as a French general and subsequently, emperor—who guided his country to greatness up to his death at Waterloo—this movie follows his political and personal life. The film depicts Napoleon in both his loving and tyrant forms.
Napoleon had an enormous thirst for both war and pleasure, which he fiercely pursued and married, from making out beneath the table to his ardent courtship of the sensuous widow Joséphine. Napoleon was fearless in combat and let his opponents see his brilliance. He’s hoping for it, so they’ll be lured into his trap and frozen to death from drowning. Despite several inaccuracies, the film more than makes up for them with its spectacular and acting-driven qualities.

On November 14, 2023, the film had its world debut at Paris’ Salle Pleyel. On November 22, 2023, it was released in the United States and the United Kingdom. And now, starting March 1, 2024, Napoleon will be available to watch on Apple TV+.
