New Delhi: The long-delayed National Awards for films were announced today. Sushant Singh Rajput Starrer Chhichhore won Best Hindi Film. Actor Kangana Ranaut has been awarded best actress for ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ and ‘Panga’. The National Award for Best Actor was shared by Manoj Bajpayee for his performance in Bhonsle and Dhanush for Asuran which also won Best Tamil Film.
The event is organised by the Directorate of Film Festivals, which is regulated by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. This time, there are 461 films in the Feature Film category and 220 films in the Non-Feature Film category.
