New Delhi: Renowned actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all ready for his debut in South Indian cinema. He announced his Telugu debut with Venkatesh through Instagram. He posed beside stars like Rana Dagubatti and Naga Chaitanya in a series of pictures.
One picture, however, didn’t sit well with some people. Nawazuddin Siddiqui began to receive hate for praying to Lord Hanuman. In one of the pics, the actor is seen bowing down in front of Bajrangbali while joining his hands.

Mixed Reaction
Nawazuddin’s harmless gesture brought out the worst in some people who flooded his comment section with hate comments.
One user wrote, ” it is unfair Nawaz, you are a Muslim, please don’t do this.”
Another wrote in a similar tone, ” for few money you sold your ideals.”
One person commented, ” you bowed in front of a statue.”
Although many people also appreciated his gesture and jumped to defend him.
“Giving respect to other religions doesn’t make him less Muslim.” wrote a user.
Some fans also pointed out that this shows the beauty of secular India.
For his Telugu Debut, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be starring in Venkatesh’s Saindhav which is going to be director Sailesh Kolanu’s 75th film.
The pics Nawaz shared are from the set of the film where a pooja ceremony was held.
For his Bollywood projects, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has his latest film Afwaah slated to release on 24th February 2023. He will be working with Bhumi Padnekar, Tapsi Pannu, Sudhir Mishra, and Bhushan Kumar.
