New Delhi: Actor Nayanthara gave a birthday surprise to filmmaker and husband Vignesh Shivan. Vignesh shared the pictures on social media, in which the couple can be seen standing below the Burj Khalifa. He turned 37 on September 18 and celebrated the occasion with his wife in Dubai.
Vignesh Shivan wrote a heartfelt note calling it ‘a dreamy birthday below Burj Khalifa’. In another picture shared by the filmmaker, he can be seen sharing a lovely moment with his mother and sister. Sharing the post, Vignesh wrote, “A birthday filled wit pure love from a loving family ?? Awesome surprise by my wife ?☺️ my thangam ?????? a dreamy birthday below Burj Khalifa with all my lovely people wit me ! (sic) Can’t get better and more special than this 🙂 Always thanking God for all the lovely moments he gives me in this blessed life !”

In the note, he referred to his wife Nayanthara as ‘thangam’, which means ‘gold or precious’. After dating for almost seven years, the couple tied the knot on June 9. Their wedding was a private affair with few people from the film industry including Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Mani Ratnam, Vijay Sethupathi and AR Rahman, present there. Their wedding has also been captured for a documentary titled ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale’ and will stream on Netflix.
On the work front, Nayanthara in ‘GodFather’ opposite actor Chiranjeevi and also in Atlee’s action thriller film ‘Jawan’ alongside Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Meanwhile, Vignesh will direct Ajith’s film ‘AK 62’ which also features Nayanthara.
