New Delhi: Shreya Lenka, who lives in Odisha’s Jharsugda, has become the first Asain who is just a step away to join Korean Music Label DR Music. The 18-year-old dancer is among the two top finalists in the world.
The second finalist is from Brazil, Gabriela Dalcin. Both the trainee dancers have now reached South Korea, where they will complete their two-month-long training. During the training period, they will complete basic pratic schedules. Furthermore, they will be provided coaching to learn the Korean language.
Following the training, Shreya Lenka will have to compete against Gabriela Dalcin to secure her entry into the Black Swan group. Reportedly, Lenka is a trained dancer and yoga enthusiast and trying her best to defeat Dalcin. If she emerges victorious, she will also be the first Indian to join the group to perform K-pop dances.

Notably, Lenka beat 4,000 aspirants from across the globe to reach this place. For the second round among the aspirants, only 23 contestants were qualified.
What is Back Swan?
Black Swan is a group based in South Korea. The group was formed by DR Music. It has been active since the year 2011 and has always been five female members. But, a member, Hyeme, left the group in 2020. It was reported that her contract was expired.
As a result, DR Music announced an audition in May 2021 to get on board a new member into the group.
