REVIEW

“One Friday Night” is commendable for its brevity, clocking in at around 85 minutes, and its ability to present a surprising plot twist in the climax. However, the film struggles with its writing and execution, leaving the viewers with an underwhelming experience. The dialogues lack depth and fail to engage the audience effectively. Additionally, some scenes drag unnecessarily, making the film feel tedious at times.

The performances in “One Friday Night” are a mixed bag. Milind Soman and Raveena Tandon deliver performances that come across as basic and lackluster. Their characters’ emotional moments fall flat, leaving much to be desired from the seasoned actors. Vidhi Chitalia, portraying Niru, brings sincerity to her role as a playful young woman. Yet, she, too, is unable to break free from the film’s mediocrity.

Despite its flaws, the film manages to create a tense atmosphere and keep the audience on their toes, thanks to the unexpected twist. However, this alone is not enough to redeem the film from its lackluster writing and subpar performances.

WHERE TO WATCH

For those interested in watching “One Friday Night,” the film is available on Jio Cinema. However, viewers should be prepared for an underwhelming thriller-drama experience that leaves much to be desired.
