New Delhi: Following its unexpectedly successful run on the big screens, Rishi and Shraddha Srinath’s super hit Kannada crime comedy Operation Alamelamma is all geared up for its OTT release in Telugu by the end of this month.
South India’s top OTT portal Aha, which is known for bringing new and exciting films to their platform every week, will be streaming the well-received movie in Telugu from 27 October and fans will be able to watch it with a basic subscription to their service.

Announcing the release date of Operation Alamelamma Telegu, Aha on Wednesday took to their Twitter (now X) and shared a poster of the movie with a caption that read. “Addition chesina, Subtraction chesina, ee Katha equal avvadu ra saami Get ready to experience the fun! Telegu audiences are now waiting eagerly to witness Rishi’s movie in their own language (Telugu) from the comfort of their home.
Notably, The announcement of Operation Alamelamma’s Telugu release came not much after Rishi gained a good fanbase in Telugu audiences with his show Shaitan. However, his lead access Saindhav is already a well-celebrated figure who has been loved and adored by the Telegu crowd for a long time.
Operation Alamelamma Story
Helmed by ace director Suni, the film’s compelling story circles around the life of a young guy (Purmy) who finds himself entangled in a police case after he unknowingly picks up a random bag of money from the street side.
Later, he comes to know that the money inside the bag was ransom money demanded by a kidnapper from a rich Businessman as consideration for freeing his kidnapped son.
With police seeing Purmy as a major suspect in the kidnapping crime, he now must do everything possible to prove his innocence beyond any doubt. How he manages to do that is the remaining story of the movie.
Operation Alamelamma Cast
In the film, Shraddha Srinath played the character of its leading lady (Parmesh’s love interest) while skilled actors like Karthik, Rajesh Nataranga, Aruna Balaraj, Pranaya Murthy, Sumukha, and Vijeth Gowda were seen in other pivotal roles.
It was released on the big screens back in July 2017 by Producer Amrej Suryavanshi under the banner of Suni Cinemas and Starfab. The movie, made on a small budget of Rs 10 crores turned out to be a bumper success at the Box office and went on to amass Rs 10 crore in the ticket window.
