Some of the most groundbreaking blockbusters of all time and outstanding performances from a wide range of artists were presented to moviegoers in 2023. We might expect notable films such as Oppenheimer, Barbie, Poor Things, and Past Lives to steal the show when the nominations for the Oscars 2024 are announced.
When to Watch the Nominations?
On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 8:30 am Eastern Time in the US, the nominees will be announced live from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles, the home of the Academy. The live announcement is scheduled to begin at about 7 pm IST in India.

When the nominations are announced on Tuesday, the Academy will go on to the final voting round, which will take place from February 22nd to February 27th. On Sunday, March 10, the 96th Academy Awards will be presented to the winners.
Jimmy Kimmel, a television personality, and comedian from the United States will once again serve as the host of the awards ceremony, which will begin at 7 pm in the United States and will begin at about 5:30 am in India (Monday).
Not only are Barbie and Oppenheimer projected to top the worldwide box office this year, but Tuesday’s Oscar nominations announcement is also likely to contain strong performances by Poor Things and Killers of the Flower Moon.
