New Delhi: Here we are on the first Friday of the new year. There has been no letup in the celebratory mood anywhere in the globe. So, on January 5th, the first Friday for movie buffs to binge-watch, OTT services released many films. From the second part of the Korean horror series Gyeongseong Creature on Netflix to the rewatch of Tejas on Zee5, the choice of fascinating entertainment is endless.

1. #90’s – A Middle Class Biopic (ETV Win)

The routines of a middle-class household are explored in this nostalgic journey down memory lane.

2. Gyeongseong Creature: Part 2 (Netflix)

Jang Tae-sang and Yoon Chae-ok, two young people, collaborated in the first part to locate missing persons. Weird beings were conjured up in 1945 when Japan was still the ruling power in Korea. It seems, however, that a danger worse than these hideous beasts may be lurking.

3. Jaha Bolibo Shotto Bolibo (Hoichoi)

A case involving the murder of a police officer who intervened in an eve-teasing incident is taken up by public prosecutor Pritha Roy. Leading lawyer Joyraj Singha represents officers on trial. Both attorneys face personal and professional challenges as they endeavour to establish a case.

4. James May: Our Man in… India (Amazon Prime Video)

James May, throughout the documentary, delves into the intricate fabric of Indian culture. James sets off on a quest for knowledge, appreciation, and self-discovery, passing through busy cities and quiet villages.

5. Perilloor Premier League (Disney Plus Hotstar)

Despite Malavika’s best intentions, she finds herself unceremoniously appointed as the president of the local Panchayat in Perilloor, where she hopes to find love with her partner Sreekuttan.

6. Kaathal – The Core (Amazon Prime Video)

Mathew, a former bank secretary, runs for a by-election. In the middle of a close-knit village community, the film explores their marital relationships, justice, and personal fulfilment.

7. Conjuring Kannappan (Netflix)

A man starts having nightmares and goes through situations while sleeping that impact his real world as well. As his family and friends become deranged, they seek to find out why.

8. Tejas (Zee5)

Tejas Gill, a pilot in the Indian Air Force, is fighting her terrible past and a mission to rescue an Indian spy with confidential information.

9. Man on the Run (Netflix)

‘Man on the Run,’ based on a real event, is both the last word on the 1MDB scandal and a damning critique of the international capitalist system for being crooked and self-serving.

10. Good Grief (Netflix)

A vacation to Paris helps an artist who is still reeling from the death of her husband, a renowned writer, and her two closest friends face their issues and find closure.

11. Lilly Rani (Aha Tamil)

To save her kid, who has a serious medical issue, a sex worker embarks on a quest to locate the biological father.

12. Foe (Amazon Prime Video)

The peaceful lives of Hen and Junior are disrupted when an unexpected visitor arrives at their doorstep with an unexpected proposition; the land has been in Junior’s family for many centuries.
