OTT Releases: Booze up on truckload of South movies lined up to release on March 11

Thriller action revolves around an investigative journalist whose life turns upside down for his news report exposing a popular politician

New Delhi: The world of OTT is turning into the promised land any entertainment lover would have imagined, and that too with a rapid pace.

Just two days from now we’d brought to you the whole chunk of Hindi web series and international contents arriving on various streaming platforms on a single date, i.e. March 9.

In a similar course, here we have a bucket full of South releases lined up to stream on March 11, including the much-awaited ‘Maaran’, starring Dhanush and Malavika Mohanan.

1. Clap

Platform: Sony LIV

The Telugu and Tamil language sports drama revolving around the young track runners and how the various circumstances including a political intervention lead to a roller coaster ride of sentiments. Prithvi Adithya directorial features Aadhi Pinnishetty, Akanksha Singh, Nassar, and Prakash Raj in the lead roles.

2. Khiladi

Platform: Disney+ Hotstar

After its theatrical release in February this year, Khiladi is now gearing for its digital premiere on Disney+ Hotstar. The movie revolves around the escape of a murderer from police custody, leading to an unexpected chase. Ramesh Varma directorial stars Ravi Teja, Dimple Hayathi and Meenakshi Chaudhary in pivotal roles.

3. Maaran

Platform: Disney+ Hotstar

Written and directed by Karthick Naren, the plot of the thriller action revolves around an investigative journalist whose life turns upside down after he publishes a news report exposing a popular politician. The movie features Dhanush, Malavika Mohanan in the lead roles.

4. Qubool Hai

Platform: Aha

An Aha original web series revolves around sensitive topics such as child marriages, human trafficking, prostitution, and crimes in the backdrop of Hyderabad. Director Pranav Pingle Reddy is well known to deliver similar content in the past including his numerous documentaries on women empowerment, refugee crisis, and more.

5. Rider

Platform: Zee5

Vijay Kumar Konda directorial revolves around two childhood friends whose relationship journey explores a wild side of love and other emotions as they grow up. The movie which was initially released in theatres on December last year features Nikhil Gowda and Kashmira Pardeshi in lead roles.

6. Rowdy Boys

Platform: Zee5

An engineering student falls in love with a medical student of a nearby college. This very ordinary relationship takes a sharp turn as it doesn’t come very obvious to their fellow students resulting in college rivalry and gang wars.

7. Super Sharanya

Platform: Zee5

As a young engineering student who had to leave her small town in Kollenkode, and shift to Thrissur in order to continue her study, the story develops with multiple hardships faced by her, leading her to become strong enough to overcome the hurdles on the way.

8. Varthamanam

Platform: Manorama MAX

Written by Aryadan Shoukath and directed by Sidhartha Siva, the political drama revolves around a student who arrives to a university in Delhi in order to complete her research work. The film explores various political and ideological aspects as made friends with a student leader and a Dalit girl from a hill state.
