Here are some upcoming romantic films and web series releasing on OTT:
1. Ante Sundaraniki
A Telugu film loved by fans, Ante Sundaraniki follows a Hindu Brahmin who falls for a Christian girl and trains her to be a Brahmin to convince his parents. The film stars Nani and Nazriya Nazim.
The film will release on Netflix on July 8.
2. Hurdang
The plot follows an aspiring IAS who starts a rebellion against the caste-based reservation. Written and directed by Nikhil Bhat, the film is set in the 1990s. Though based on caste politics, the film has romance as one of its primary themes. The film stars Sunny Kaushal, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Vijay Varma.
The film will release on July 10 on Netflix.
3. Mothering Sunday
The plot follows a maid living in England who secretly plans to meet with the man she loves before he leaves to marry another woman. The film is set in the post-World War-I era. The movie stars Odessa Young and Josh O’Connor in the lead roles.
The film will release on Zee5 on July 12.
4. Jaadugar
The film revolves around Magic Meenu, a small-time magician in Neemuch, M.P., who has to win a football tournament to marry the girl he loves. The Netflix original is directed by a known face of TVF, Sameer Saxena and his fellow TVF teammate Biswapati Sarkar has written the screenplay for the film. The film stars Panchayat actor Jitendra Kumar aka Jeetu bhaiya along with Arushi Sharma and Jaaved Jaaferi.
Jaadugar is set to release on Netflix on July 15.
5. F3: Fun and Frustration
Though not a romantic love story, F3: Fun and Frustration is a rom-com. In the film, Venky and Varun, try to come out of financial problems but they meet Pragathi Family who are greedy for money. The film stars Venkatesh Daggubati and Varun Tej as Venky and Varun. Along with Venky and Varun, the film features Tamannaah Bhatia, Pooja Hedge and Mehreen Pirzada.
The Telugu film will release on Sony Liv on July 22.
