The second week of August seems to be the release week of the most awaited movies and web-series ever. Just yesterday, Siddharth Kapoor, Kiara Advani’s much awaited war drama Shershaah was released on Amazon Prime Video and garnered positive reviews from the audiences. Now, yet another star packed war-drama is at the door.
While there is a lot of buzz about Abhishek Dudhaiya directed ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’, which will be streaming today on 5:30PM, on the OTT platform Disney+hotstar, here is a small synopsis of 5 movies/webseries releasing today to keep you hooked throughout this weekend.
Bhuj: The Pride Of India (Disney+Hotstar)
The film is based on a true story, set back in 1970 during the Indo-Bangla vs Pakistan war, where 300 women from Gujrat helped the Indian Airforce to build a runway for their operation. Ajay Devgan will be playing the lead role of squadron leader Vijay Karmik’s in the film. Sanjay Dutt, Nora Fatehi, Ammy Virk and Sonakshi Sinha will also be seen in the Friday release.
Modern Love Season 2 (Amazon Prime Video)
Based on the New York Times’s popular column by the same name, Modern Love S2 is an anthology series of eight episodes, with eight different individual stories exploring love and all its complicated forms. However, if you haven’t watched the first season of this series yet, make sure you binge watch both the seasons one after another. The show is co-produced by Amazon Studios and the NYT.

Shanti Kranti, which means peace and revolution, is a story of deep-seated friendship, as three friends Shreyas, Dinar, Prasanna set out on a road trip. The Sony LIV Marathi original is loaded with hilarity, emotions and a journey of self-reflection.

While on a vacation in Greece, an American tourist Beckett becomes the target of a pursuit after a ruinous accident. Now he desperately needs to get to the American embassy to clear his name. Traction occur as Beckett falls even deeper into a dangerous conspiracy.
The Kingdom (Netflix)
The Kingdom is a Spanish drama to be released on Netflix today, about a religious leader who is now a presidential candidate, after at the candidate is being assassinated. As the murder is being investigated, more layers of this holy leader opens up, that does not turn out to be as sacred as expected.
