Various films from every part of the world are set to hit the OTT platforms on August 12. Here is a list of the top 5 films and web series to watch:

1. Shabaash Mithu

Cricketer Mithali Raj’s biopic is coming to OTT after a fine run in the cinemas. In the film, actor Taapsee Pannu played the role of India’s former cricket captain Mithali Raj. Directed by Srijit Mukherjee, the film stars Vijay Raaz, Asad Ali Palijo, Tahir Anand, Brijendra Kala and Shilpi Marwaha.

The film will stream on Viacom 18’s OTT platform Voot. The film will be available in four languages, namely, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

2. Never Have I Ever (Season 3)

‘Never Have I Ever’ is back with season 3. The show is based on the complicated life of a modern-day first-generation Indian American teenage girl, inspired by Mindy Kaling’s own childhood. The web series stars Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Poorna Jagannathan, Darren Barnet, John McEnroe and others.

Season 3 of the popular teenage show will stream on Netflix.

3. Hello World

‘Hello World’ is a Telugu web series revolving around the life of Prarthana, who is tough as a shell and adorable as a toffee. The show stars Aryan Rajesh, Ram Nithin, Nikhil, Sudarsan, Anil Geela, Nayan Karishma, Apoorva Alla, Nitya Shetty, and Snehal Kamat.

The web series will release on Zee5.

4. Gargi

The film revolves around a young school teacher who sets on a journey to prove her father’s innocence with the help of a juvenile advocate who’s never even seen the interiors of a court hall. Directed by Gautham Ramachandran, ‘Gargi’ stars Sai Pallavi in the lead role, along with Kaali Venkat, R.S. Shivaji, Kavithalaya Krishnan and Aishwarya Lekshmi.

The thrilling drama is set to release on Sony Liv.

5. Cadaver

The film follows Megan Reed, an ex-cop and a recovering alcoholic who is out of the rehabilitation centre. As she takes up the graveyard shift the situation turns upside down. The film is directed by Anoop Panicker and features Amala Paul, Riythvika Panneerselvam, Munishkanth, Harish Uthaman, Athulya and Thrigun.

The mystery drama will release on Disney+Hotstar in Tamil and Telugu.
