New Delhi: Cinemas & theaters are abuzz with activity during every weekend, though, series of releases on OTTs have come as a good alternative for the movie buffs.
For the December third weekend, we bring you list of web-series from Bollywood & Hollywood that can watch from the comforts of your home.
1) Dry Day
Dry Day is a satirical comedy-drama, with its story revolving around a village goon & his wife. Akin to its name, the movie is about the alcohol addiction and its disastrous fallout on family life.
Shriya, the female protagonist of the movie remains perturbed by her drunkyard husband. One day, she gets so anxious & fed up with him that she aborts her child. When, Jitendra, the male character learns about it, this shocks him to the core. He quits alcohol and also pitches for banning it in the village.
2) ‘Humorously Yours, Season 3’
The movie is rom-com drama and stars some notable actors like Abhishek Banjeree, Rasika Dugal. The movie is about a comedian planning to explore United States but the challenging financial condition forces him to rethink his decision.
3) Barbie
Barbie, the eponymous fashion doll has been an inspiration for comic books as well as movies. This web series is about putting the Barbie doll in the real world and how lives among humans. The movie has many points when one gets to question her existence.
4) ‘Curry and Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case’
It is a crime series, documenting the horrible life story of Jolly Joseph. Jolly works as lecturer at NIT and gets married to a well-respected family in Kerala.
5) ‘Like Flowers in Sand’
This is a Korean drama series , documenting the life of wrestling prodigy. The web series captures his inner turmoil of not attaining his goal. He decides that if doesn’t get to earn the prestigious jangsa title, he would retire from the sport. While he struggles to attain the same, the entry of his childhood friend infuses him with fresh energy & vigour to achieve the same.
