New Delhi: Prior to her niece Parineeti Chopra’s engagement to politician Raghav Chadha over the weekend, Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra, praised her. Additionally, she expressed her happiness for the pair. This weekend, Priyanka is anticipated to go to India just for the engagement that is taking place in Delhi. The pair is already getting preparations for their private ceremony on May 13 in the nation’s capital.
In March, Parineeti and Raghav were first seen together in Mumbai during dinner. Since then, photographers have frequently taken pictures of the couple. They often travel together between Delhi and Mumbai as well. The pair have kept their relationship a closely-guarded secret and hasn’t officially announced anything yet. The actor was frequently spotted in front of Manish Malhotra’s home. He allegedly created her attire for her engagement. He created the wedding attire for stars Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra earlier this year.
“I am very happy for Parineeti and Raghav, with all of our blessings.” the actor’s aunt Madhu said in an interview after the engagement was announced. The mother and father of Parineeti are Pawan and Reena Chopra. She is first cousins with Priyanka. Shivang and Sahaj Chopra, two of Parineeti’s younger brothers, are allegedly looking after the cuisine for the engagement this weekend.
This saturday’s engagement festivities are also expected to include Priyanka. Her husband Nick Jonas and their 1-year-old daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas may or may not attend. According to reports, Manish and Sania Mirza, a former tennis player, and Karan Johar, a director, will also be on the elite guest list in addition to Parineeti.
