New Delhi: Beginning tomorrow, May 13, it’s all about making a start for Parineeti Chopra and AAP MP Raghav Chadha. The couple is slated to exchange rings in Delhi on Saturday in the company of their families and close friends. The festivities scheduled for the day would begin with an Ardas, followed by the exchanging of rings. Ardas is a Sikh ritual that is performed as part of a Gurudwara’s worship session.

What is Ardas?

For those who are unfamiliar with what an ardas is, it is a Sikh prayer said before or after accomplishing any major job; after saying the daily Banis (prayers) or completing an act of worship such as the paath, kirtan (hymn-singing), or any other religious program. These prayers are also repeated before and after eating in Sikhism.

The engagement of Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha will be small, cozy yet beautiful affair. According to a source, the engagement is scheduled to take place in Central Delhi and would begin with an ‘ardas’ (prayer). Families of both Parineeti and Raghav, as well as close acquaintances and friends, will attend the event.
