Pedro Paramo OTT Release: The Mexican suspense and thriller drama will be available for streaming on Netflix on November 6, 2024. The film is an adaption of Juan Rulfo’s novel, and it made its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festivcal on September 7th, 2024.
Plot
The story of the film is based in Mexico during 1870s and 1920s. The film follows the life of a man who made a promise to his dying mother that he will his father and ask him where had he been all these years?
The man named Juan travels to Comala, but instead of finding his father his believes he has come to a haunted place which belongs to ghosts. Soon strange things begin to happen with him
Juan finds that city abandoned and full of ghosts. Meanwhile one of the ghosts tells him about the life in Comala today and before. The Ghost also tells him about a ghost Pedro Paramo
The ghost Pedro used to terrorize and manipulate the people of Comala. The ghosts also tells him about his father, how was he as a person when he used to live here. The Streaming platform shared the teaser of the film
The teaser begins with the man Juan arrived in Comala to look for his father but instead he finds nothing instead of ghosts. One of the ghost takes him to the flashback when his father Pedro used to live here..
The Ghost tells him your father used to love a woman and they used to fly kites together. However, in the end Juan is unable to meet his father, he lost all his hopes and dies.
