Pepe OTT Release: Pepe, which was Vinay Rajkumar’s second theatrical venture this year, failed to fare well with the audience on the big screens. Despite offering the viewers an action-packed, gritty & messy theme, the Kannada entertainer suffered due to its weak plot & confusing narrative which ultimately led to its failure at the Box Office within a week of its premiere.
Nevertheless, irrespective of the lukewarm reception Pepe witnessed in the cinemas, its makers have reportedly managed to crack a solid deal with Amazon Prime Video which has bought the Shrleelesh S Nair Directorial’s streaming rights for a decent amount of money.
This means that in the coming days, the movie will soon make its OTT debut on the streaming platform, allowing fans to enjoy it right from the comfort of their homes. However, the exact streaming date of the Vinay starrer is yet the be unveiled by the filmmakers.
Plot of the Movie
Written by Shreelesh S Nair, Pepe’s plot unfolds in Coorg with its timeline starting in the year 1970 and going all the way to the 2000s. The film features Vinay as a courageous man who raises his voice against a community that has been ill-treating the people of his cast for ages. This sets him off against multiple influential people of the pressing community and how the guy deals with them is the remaining story of the movie.
Cast and Production
Besides Vinay, Pepe, in its cast, features Shashidhar, Shivu Kabbanahalli, Sandhya Arakere, Raviprasad Mandya, B.M. Sriram Kolar, Medini Kelamane, Aruna Balra and Kaajal Kunder in key roles. Uday Shankar S, joining forces with BM Sriram, has produced the film under the banner of Uday Cine Venture.
