New Delhi: After the exciting look provided by the teaser, the official trailer for Pippa, starring Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur, has been released today.

The video clip gives an impressive look into the Battle of Garibpur, an important battle in the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 that helped propel Bangladesh toward independence with the aid of the Indian Army.

Ishaan Khatter, who already has an extensive and remarkable filmography to his name, co-stars with Mrunal Thakur in the forthcoming war drama Pippa. The release of the Pippa teaser in August piqued interest in the film. Timed to coincide with Ishaan’s 28th birthday, the complete trailer has finally been released.

Pippa stars Ishaan Khatter as Captain Balram Singh Mehta, a veteran of the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war and member of the 45th Cavalry Tank Squadron. Ishaan’s mother, played by Soni Razdan, and his sibling, played by Mrunal Thakur, appear in the film.

The preview takes us to an earlier era when India was engaged in the conflict known as the Battle of Garibpur, which took place on the eastern front. After the previous head of the squadron was injured during the operation, Captain Balram Singh Mehta was given charge of the group. He served on the frontlines of the battle with his siblings, and their contributions were critical to India’s efforts to achieve victory.

Indian troops gave it their all, which led to the liberation of Bangladesh and served as a clarion call for the combat war cry “We fight like soldiers, kill like soldiers, and die like soldiers.” Balram Mehta and the Indian Armed Forces, as a unit, reinterpret what it means to be a hero by fighting for the freedom of another nation.

About the Film – Pippa

Raja Krishna Menon helms Pippa, with Roy Kapur Films and RSVP serving as producers. In addition to Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur, the film also features Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan. This narrative of patriotism and sacrifice is set against the powerful music of maestro A.R. Rahman.

The movie will debut on November 10 on Amazon Prime Video.

The movie is an exciting account of a significant historical event, the Battle of Garibpur, which occurred during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and was critical in Bangladesh’s fight for independence. It was inspired by Brigadier Mehta’s novel The Burning Chaffees. The PT-76 (Palavushi Tanka) was an amphibious combat tank, and its nickname, “Pippa,” came from the fact that it floated on water like an empty can of ghee.
