New Delhi: Ashok Selvan’s latest rom-com Pon Ondru Kanden is finally arriving on the digital screens this month.
Helmed by Tamil film director V. Priya, the movie, skipping its theatrical release, will start streaming on Jio Cinema from 14th April onwards.

While Pon Ondru Kanden’s producers were initially about to drop the movie directly on a TV satellite channel (Colors Tamil), they changed their decision after the flick’s lead cast & crew, including actor Vasanth Ravi, voiced their anger against the producers for choosing to release the movie directly on Television without even letting them know about the same.

Fortunately, the inner conflicts between Pon Ondru Kanden’s director, artists & producers have now been sorted out and the flicker is all set to premiere on its Reliance-owned digital release partner Jio Cinema.
Plot
Pon Ondru Kanden focuses on a love triangle between a doctor, a chef, and another man. It tells the tale of a guy who wants to become a chef but ends up marrying a strong-headed & career-oriented woman due to family pressur.
While the girl is not interested in him either, circumstances compel the duo to help one another as they come together to set up a business in partnership. what happens next is the remaining story of the romantic comedy movie.
