New Delhi: Tamil actor ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram got hospitalised as he is reported to have felt uneasiness. He is admitted to Kauvery hospital in Chennai. The doctors have made no official announcement about the cause, but according to some reports, he is stable now.
Vikram was supposed to attend the teaser launch of his upcoming film, Ponniyin Selvan-I, on July 8. There is no official confirmation of the event getting postponed. The film is directed by Mani Ratnam and stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi and Sobhita Dhulipala along with ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram. The teaser launch is scheduled to happen at 6 pm on July 8 in Chennai, while the film will release on September 30. Though the 56-year-old actor is reported to be discharged from the hospital today, he would not be attending the event.
His fans are wishing for his quick recovery and are posting wishes for him on Twitter.

The actor was last seen in Karthik Subbaraj’s Mahaan which was released on Amazon Prime Video. Apart from Ponniyin Selvan-I, he will soon be seen in ‘Cobra’. Directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu, ‘Cobra’ features Vikram, cricketer Irfan Pathan and Srinidhi Shetty.
