New Delhi: Much speculated period drama Ponniyin Selvan has already nabbed the Rs 400 crore target at the box office and is successfully moving towards joining the elite Rs 500 crore club. As per film analyst Ramesh Bala, Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus has earned over Rs 400 crore on the global front. The film has become the third Indian film to do so after Rajinikanth’s 2.0 and Kamal Haasan’s Vikram.

Those who could relish the multi-starrer royal drama in theatre will soon be able to catch the film online. The streaming rights of the film have been reportedly sold to Amazon Prime Video.
Moreover, if reports are to be believed, the film is likely to make its OTT debut on November 4. However, an official announcement is awaited in the matter.
