Police forces in the United States have grown exponentially over the last few centuries in response to perceived dangers to societal stability. The only word that can demonstrate their domination is power. This documentary gives viewers a glimpse into the influence of a corrupt past that normalizes abuse against those who identify as non-white. The racial disparities and prejudice linked to colonization, affluence, and whiteness persist today, which is mirrored by the fact that police authority is the immediate power. Slaves, indigenous peoples, and the working class have felt the effects of power dynamics more acutely than the privileged white majority because they are distinct from white America.
