New Delhi: After a long wait of 16 years, Prabhas and Nayanthara, the renowned pan-Indian star and Lady Superstar, are rumored to reunite on the silver screen. Speculations suggest that these two superstars will share the screen in an upcoming film titled Kannappa. The movie is said to be a dream project of actor Manchu Vishnu, with Prabhas and Nayanthara portraying the roles of Lord Shiva and Parvathi respectively. Fans are excited about this potential collaboration that brings together two powerhouse actors.
Nayanthara & Prabhas to Reunite
A few days ago, it was reported that Prabhas has been offered a significant role in the film Kannappa. Vishnu indirectly confirmed this on X (formerly Twitter). Now, there is another update that the makers of the film have approached Nayanthara for an important role opposite Prabhas. According to reports, she is still considering the offer and has not responded yet. If she agrees, it would be great news for the audience. Nayanthara is currently enjoying the success of her Bollywood debut film Jawan.
To provide some background, Prabhas and Nayanthara had previously worked together in a Telugu film called Yogi, which was directed by VV Vinayakan and was released 16 years ago in 2007. Although this news has created a buzz on social media, we are still waiting for an official confirmation.
Vishnu announced on Friday that Nupur Sanon left the movie because of scheduling conflicts. She was supposed to be the main female character. Vishnu mentioned that they will miss her and will now search for a new female lead.

Kannappa is a movie that Vishnu really wants to make. They had a big event to launch the movie in August, and the planning and preparation have been ongoing. on August 21, they had a ceremony at Sri Kalahasti temple. Vishnu’s father, the famous actor Mohan Babu, will be helping produce the movie. According to reports, they will start shooting soon. Mani Sharma and Stephen Devassy will work together on the soundtrack of the movie.
