New Delhi: Girish A.D’s Premalu is one of the most remarkable Malayalam movies of all time. Made on a mere budget of 3 crores, the Naslen K. Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju starrer film amassed an overwhelming figure of Rs 103 at the box office, becoming the 5th biggest Mollywood flicker of all time.
Meanwhile, following its monumental success on the big screens, the filmmakers are rolling out Premalu on a digital platform where audiences will be able to enjoy it from the comfort of their homes.

After wreaking havoc in the theaters, Premalu is all set to make its digital debut on Disney + Hotstar on 22 March 2024. This means that anyone who failed to watch the Rom-Com during its theatrical run will now be able to stream the movie digitally as per his comfort and choice. However, it will only become accessible to the folks who have a subscription to the digital platform’s service.
Plot
Sachin Santosh, an engineering graduate, is head over heels for his college-time crush Anjali. However, his dreams shatter when he proposes to her only to learn that her heart beats for another guy. Making peace with the harsh reality, Sachin eventually moves on with his life & crosses his path with Renu at a wedding.
The two instantly vibe with one another and their bonds grow stronger & stronger over time. This eventually causes Sachin to develop feelings for Renu and he confesses the same without a second thought. Yet again, he faces rejection as Renu politely puts down his offer, stating that she wants someone more mature & stable in life.
Dejected by back-to-back heartbreaks, Sachin then bids goodbye to Hyderabad and movies to Chennai accompanied by his college friend. Meanwhile, Renu starts regretting rejecting Sachin’s love and leaves no stone unturned in approaching him to come back to her. Will she succeed in getting Sachin back?
