New Delhi: When fans and audiences are waiting for the sequel of their favorite movie, there is something new underway for the Kantara enthusiasts. Director of the movie – Kantara, Rishab Shetty is coming up with a prequel to the first part of the movie.
According to the reports, Rishab Shetty has already started working on the script for the prequel movie. In a recent interview, Vijay Kirgandur, the founder of Hombale films revealed that the shoot for the movie will most probably start in June this year.
Plot and other deets of Kantara Prequel:
Kantara 2 is a prequel that will observe the locals, the deity, as well as the disturbed king’s correlation. The king had signed an agreement with the god to safeguard the locals and the surrounding land, but things did not go as planned. The film’s central conflict is a battle between man and nature.
According to Vijay, Rishab Shetty is aiming to start the shooting of the prequel in June since there are some shots to be taken in the rainy season. Considering this, the cast is planning to release the movie by April and May 2024 in pan India.
Rishab Shetty is currently on a two-month research trip to the forest lands of Karnataka’s coastal belt to learn more about the folk tales spotlighted in his movie Kantara.
The expenses for Kantara 2 have now been expanded, but the movie’s aesthetic, storyline, and cinematic techniques will be equivalent to Kantara in order to maintain consistency and authenticity. More cast members are expected to be added, and they could be big names.
