New Delhi: The forthcoming television drama Presumed Innocent is based on the well-known book of the same name written by Scott Turow in 1987. The novel was recently shown for the first time at the Tribeca Film Festival. The release for Apple TV is scheduled for June 12 and is now ready to go.

Plot
Set in 1990, the plot centres on Rusty Sabich, a prosecutor and married man who falls for Carolyn Polhemus. While secretly having an affair with his wife Barbara, Rusty develops an obsession with Carolyn and begins an intimate connection with her.
But when he finds out that Carolyn was killed, his whole world flips. He attempts to keep his connection with Carolyn a secret as the police look into the murder. Rusty is falsely accused of her murder. What follows is revealed in the series.
In the tense courtroom drama Presumed Innocent, there is passion, betrayal, obsession, sex, politics, and heartache.

Cast and Crew
At the office of the prosecuting attorney, Jake Gyllenhaal portrays Rusty Sabich, who is the top deputy prosecutor. The part of Barbara Sabich is played by Ruth Negga, Elizabeth Marvel plays Lorraine Horgan, Renate Reinsve plays Carolyn Polhemus, Lily Rabe plays Dr Liz Rush, and Matthew Alan plays Dalton Caldwell in the series.
Additional characters include Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenie, Peter Sarsgaard, Noma Dumezweni, Gabby Beans, Kingston Rumi Southwick, and Nana Mensah.
Greg Yaitanes and Anne Sewitsky are the directors of the series, while David E. Kelley is the creator and writer of the show. David E. Kelley Productions, Warner Bros. Television Studios, and Old Curiosity Shop Productions are the producers of the show.
Abrams, Kelley, Rachel Rusch Rich, Matthew Tinker, Dustin Thomason, Sharr White, and Jake Gyllenhaal are among the individuals who serve as executive producers.
