New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha and Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra are all set to become the newest edition to the Bollywood-politics power couple list.
The duo reportedly is set to tie the wedding knot on September 23 and 24 in Udaipur. The wedding functions will be held at the Hotel Leela Palace and Udayavilas in Udaipur.
According to the early media reports, the functions will begin on September 23, with mehendi, haldi and sangeet, and will reportedly conclude on September 24, with the wedding rituals.
Although, the guest list for the wedding has been kept short, restricted only to family members and close friends. The duo are set to have a grand reception in Gurugram on September 30, with celebrities like Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Parineeti’s sister Priyanka Chopra and her husband, Hollywood star Nick Jonas expected to turn up for the event.
Notably, with such high profile guest list, the invites are meant to be sent early so that they can take time out of their busy schedule to turn up for the invite.
It seems like Parineeti and Raghav have also followed the safe option of sending an early invitation. However, there was one small hiccup. One of the invite’s pictures somehow found its way to the Internet.
The invite is printed in blue and golden fonts on a plain white background and says, “With the heavenly blessings of our most revered Shri P.N. Chadha Ji, Smt. Vimla Chadha, Smt. Usha and Shri H.S. Sachdeva, Alka and Sunil Chadha invite you for the reception lunch of their son.”
The couple got engaged earlier this year on May 13 at a close family event in Kapurthala House in New Delhi, after being in a relationship for months, away from public eyes.
