On September 14th, 2024 Raghu Thatha will make its much-awaited OTT debut on the popular streamer with the hopes of faring well wth the digital audience.
Plot of the film
Set in 1960s Tamil Nadu, the plot of Ragu Thatha unfolds at a time when anti-Hindi moments were witnessed all across the southern Indian state. The movie focuses on the life of a rebellious lady Kayalvizhi who always tend to stand up against society’s petrarchial norms and find her own way deal with challenges.
While trying to become a better person with each passing day, Kayalvizhi, in the film, is seen raising her voice against discrimination & injustices faced by women. Besides this, she is also seen playing a major role in Anti-Hindi protests in her village while learning and understanding Hindi at the same time.
