The post, which lacked specific context, stated, “We have separated and kindly request you to give us time during this difficult period.” While this unexpected announcement left many internet users speculating about the status of their marriage, a small group of users regarded it as a promotional tactic.

In response to his update, several users expressed their curiosity and concern in the comment section. One user questioned, “What exactly does ‘separate’ mean? Are they heading for a divorce?” Another user expressed their sadness, calling the news shocking. In contrast to Raj Kundra’s social media post, Shilpa Shetty has not made any similar announcements on her various social media platforms. It is worth noting that Raj’s post came just days after he unveiled the trailer of his debut film, UT69, where he will be taking on the lead role. The film revolves around the narrative of his time spent in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail during the controversy surrounding an alleged pornography-related case.
Raj Kundra’s Arrest
Raj Kundra’s arrest in July 2021 in connection with the aforementioned case created significant headlines and became one of the year’s most talked-about controversies. After spending approximately two months in custody, he was granted bail by a metropolitan magistrate in September of the same year. The charges against him included sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Information Technology Act, and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention) Act. His release from jail marked a significant development in the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding the case.
Raj, who has consistently maintained his claim of being framed in the case, intends to present his side of the story through his upcoming film. UT69, set to release in theaters on November 3, will provide a platform for Raj to share his perspective.

Recently, Raj opened up about how he approached Shilpa with the idea for the film. He recounted to News18, “I informed her about the script and waited for her response. As I turned away, a flying slipper came towards my face. I believe she initially found the idea a bit risky. Perhaps, she thought the film might not materialize.”
He further revealed, “Nevertheless, she was incredibly supportive. She asked me, ‘Will you be able to act?’ I assured her that I would, citing my experience of method acting during my time in jail.” Raj and Shilpa Shetty tied the knot in 2009 and are the proud parents of two children, Viaan and Samisha.
