New Delhi: Raj Kundra, who served a two-month sentence at Arthur jail as part of his involvement in a pornography case, is stepping into the acting arena with his debut in a satirical movie inspired by his time behind bars. In an exclusive interview with Indianexpress.com, Raj divulged the challenges he encountered, revealing that he had even contemplated taking extreme measures. Additionally, he disclosed that his well-known spouse, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, had proposed the notion of moving overseas and commencing a new chapter in their lives.

Raj Kundra’s mental breakdown

Raj Kundra is all set to venture into the world of acting with his upcoming debut in the movie UT 69, which is based on his tumultuous time spent in jail. In a recent conversation, Raj candidly discussed the challenging period of his life, shedding light on the immense struggles he faced. He revealed, “I had reached a point of complete breakdown, where I contemplated putting an end to everything from within.” The once successful businessman-turned-actor also expressed the deep anguish caused by the severe public scrutiny and damage to his reputation. He lamented, “Because of my actions, the media relentlessly targeted my wife, children, and parents, which was an excruciatingly painful experience.”

They would have a short phone call once a week, and the rest of the time, they would write each other letters. Raj appreciated Shilpa’s unwavering support during this difficult time.
