New Delhi: In anticipation of the much-awaited release of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film “Jailer,” devoted fans of the superstar converged at the Thiruparankundram Amman Temple to offer special prayers for the film’s success.

As the release date of “Jailer” is slated for August 10, fans flocked to the temple in Madurai to seek divine blessings and ensure the triumph of the film.

In a fervent display of support, fans engaged in a unique form of worship by performing the ritual of “Man Soru,” a special offering to the temple deity aimed at securing the monumental success of the movie.

Expressing their unwavering loyalty, one of Rajinikanth’s ardent admirers shared, “I have been a Rajini fan for 40 years. From Rajini’s ‘Padayappa’ till today, I have been doing various prayers for the success of Rajini’s films. Today, I am praying that Rajini’s 169th film ‘Jailer’ will be successful.”

Another enthusiast from the Rajinikanth fanbase conveyed, “On behalf of the Madurai district, we prayed for the success of Rajini’s film ‘Jailer.’ Rajini is endeavoring to lead his fans towards a positive path. At the audio launch, Rajini urged his fans not to consume alcohol, and accordingly, we have pledged to abstain from drinking.”

With “Jailer” promising an action-packed cinematic experience, the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, and Vinayakan in pivotal roles. Notably, the production has also secured the participation of acclaimed Malayalam actor Mohanlal for an extended cameo appearance.

Given Rajinikanth’s immense star power and director Nelson’s track record, industry insiders anticipate a robust opening for “Jailer,” projecting a first-day collection surpassing Rs 50 crore, a remarkable feat for any film this year. The film’s continued success beyond its initial release is anticipated to hinge heavily on reviews and positive word-of-mouth endorsements.

Originally slated for release on August 11, the makers of “Jailer” rescheduled its premiere to August 10 to avoid a potential clash with other notable releases like Chiranjeevi’s “Bholaa Shankar,” Akshay Kumar’s “OMG 2,” and Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2.”

As the fervor among Rajinikanth’s fanbase grows and the anticipation escalates, all eyes are set on the cinematic debut of “Jailer” and its impending impact on the box office.
