New Delhi: Vasan Bala’s latest venture starring Rajkummar Rao and Radhika Apte gets a release date on Netflix. The film will release on November 11 on the OTT platform. The film is a dark comedy, the genre in which Vasan Bala excels. This will be his third directorial venture after the unreleased ‘Peddlers’ and the critically acclaimed superhero-comedy film ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’.
‘Monica O My Darling’ follows a young man who desperately tries to make it big with his allies and comes up with a dastardly diabolical plan to pull off the perfect murder. Along with the lead cast, the film also stars Huma Qureshi, Sikandar Kher, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and Sukant Goel.
Netflix shared the poster of the film and made the announcement regarding the release date. The OTT platform tweeted, “Someone please tell @RajkummarRao that he already has a hold on our hearts. He doesn’t need a claw for it.”

Netflix also shared the teaser of the film about a month ago in their Tudum event, which showed Rajkummar playing a small-town boy along with Radhika in the lead. Also, Huma’s character, which is shown to be a smart and violent one, has been the most intriguing.
Meanwhile, Bala, Rajkummar and Radhika have worked with Netflix previously and seemingly know what the audience wants. Vasan Bala has directed a short film in the ‘Ray’ anthology, Rajkummar Rao worked in ‘The White Tiger’ and Radhika has been a known face on Netflix India.
