New Delhi: Popular comedian and Raju Srivastava’s close friend Ahsaan Qureshi on Thursday informed that the comedian has been unconscious for the past 25-30 hours.
The doctors who are treating the comedian said that he is under observation in the ICU. They further said that its a wait and watch moment as few hours back Raju made some movements but it seems that his brain isn’t functioning completely and is unresponsive.
The 58-year old comedian who is well known for his exceptional comic skills was admitted to Delhi’s AIIMS hospital following a cardiac arrest on Wednesday (August 10).
He had collapsed while running on the treadmill in a gym in South Delhi.
It is said that Raju Srivastava is in a ‘critical’ condition and is currently put under the ‘ventilator.’
Not letting him meet anyone
Ahsaan Qureshi further said that he wanted to fly to Delhi but his wife asked him not to come as doctors are not allowing anyone to meet him. He said for now he is praying for his friend to recover and get well soon.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath offers help
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also talked to comedian’s wife over the phone and said that all kinds of support will be offered to Raju’s family.
Rajnath Singh dials AIIMS Director
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also called up AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria today and took a stock of his health from him. He also spoke to comedian’s wife and consoled her. He also wished a speedy recovery for him on Twitter.
