‘Ram Siya Ram’ song out: Second song of Adipurush shows timeless bond of Lord Ram and Sita

The song, shot across magnificent views of forests and splendid Lanka, depicts Lord Ram and Sita’s bond following her kidnapping at the hands of Ravana.

New Delhi: Today, the second new song Ram Siya Ram from Om Raut’s forthcoming movie Adipurush became available. The slow bhajan highlights Lord Ram and Sita’s ‘timeless’ bond, as played by Prabhas and Kriti Sanon in the movie. The song has been extremely received by fans, who have applauded the lead pair’s connection as well as the visuals and vocals.

The song begins with a conversation between Raghava (Prabhas) and Janaki (Kriti), in which he tells her that she is a princess who belongs in palaces, not in the wilderness with him. She responds by saying that a shadow can never be detached from the body.

The song, shot across magnificent views of forests and splendid Lanka, depicts Lord Ram and Sita’s bond following her kidnapping at the hands of Ravana.

Fans praised the bhajan’s composition and voice. “This is not a song, but a great Bhajan that can cure several human problems, frees one from all anxieties, and gives pleasure to the soul,” one person wrote. “My eyes fill with tears whenever I listen to this,” said another. Another expressed this feeling, adding, “I’m sure this left us all in tears.”

Sachet-Parampara composed the song, which was also sung by Sachet Tandon and Parampara Tandon. The lyrics were written by Manoj Muntashir Shukla. Previously, fans hailed the film’s hymn Jai Shri Ram for its ‘hair-raising’ arrangement and chorus. The film’s original teaser was panned for its visual effects, however after seeing the trailer, some fans said the visuals had improved noticeably. The song has also received positive feedback.

Based on the classic Ramayan, Adipurush also stars Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh (Ravana), Sunny Singh as Laxman, and Devadatta Nage as Hanuman. The movie, which is billed as India’s most expensive ever, will be released in theatres on June 19.
