New Delhi: The highly-anticipated project of bringing the Indian Epic, Ramayana, to the big screen is taking shape. After years of preparation, the epic saga is set to go into production in the first quarter of 2024 according to reports by Pinkvilla. Leading the cast are acclaimed actors Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash.

The Vision Behind Ramayana

Under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari, who is renowned for his storytelling prowess, the team has been meticulously crafting the world of Ramayana. The project promises not only breathtaking visuals, thanks to VFX expertise from the Oscar-winning company DNEG, but also a focus on simplistic storytelling and profound inter-character emotions. The world of Ramayana has been meticulously constructed using VFX, ready for the actors to step into.

In this grand cinematic adaptation, Ranbir Kapoor assumes the iconic role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi portrays the beloved character of Sita Ma. The multi-talented Yash, known for his portrayal of Rocky in “KGF,” takes on the complex role of the ten-headed Ravana.

The production timeline for this ambitious project is structured into parts. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are scheduled to commence filming in February 2024. Yash is dedicating 15 days to film his portions for “Ramayana: Part One.” All three principal actors have undergone extensive look tests and are eagerly immersing themselves in the enchanting world of this timeless tale of love. Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar are at the helm of creating this cinematic masterpiece.
