New Delhi: After a long gap, the 2023 Malayalam film Rani: The Real Story has made its way to digital platforms. The Bhavana-starring investigative thriller will soon be available on Manorama Max, an over-the-top service.
The OTT platform shared the thrilling news on its social media accounts with a captivating poster from the film. Indrans, Guru Somasundaram, Bhavana, Honey Rose, Urvashi, and Maala Parvathy can be seen, while Niyathi Kadambi in the lead role, is making her Malayalam debut. Critics were quite complimentary of the picture when it opened in theatres, praising the script and the performances of the main actors.
Plot
The protagonist of the investigative mystery thriller is the eponymous heroine, Rani, who is employed as a housemaid at the residence of a prominent MLA. She is accused of killing the MLA Dharmarajan, but she is backed by three families in the border town of Dharmapuram, where she works. These families are very supportive of her.
The most important aspect of the narrative is how she handles this challenging circumstance.
When and Where to Watch?
The film was first made available to the public in theatres on September 21, 2023, and it is currently prepared to be made available on the over-the-top streaming platform Manorama Max beginning on March 7, 2024.

Cast and Crew
Some of the pivotal actors who appear in the film include Niyathi Kadambi (as Rani), Indrans, Guru Somasundaram, Honey Rose, Urvashi, Maniyanpilla Raju, Bhavana, and many others. Other supporting actors who play important parts in the movie are Krishnan Balakrishnan, Ambi Neenasam, Ramu Mangalapalli, and Athira Sreekumar.
Both the director and the scriptwriter of the movie is Shankar Ramakrishnan. Film producers Vinod Menon and Shankar Ramakrishnan of Magictail Works Productions and Jimmy Jacob of June Ventures worked together on the technical aspects of the picture. Mena Melath wrote the music and lyrics, and Jonathan Bruce created the original soundtrack, while Vinayak Gopal and Appu Bhattathiri oversaw the filming and editing.
